Mail wont keep my account!

Right, so I have the Mail app and the preference thingy all in place, and the app starts and does that "Welcome to Mail" thing and I set up my account but when its done I get the "Inbox" screen but everything is grey and nothing works, and when I close it and open it again it brings me back to "Welcome to Mail"! I have set it up in different ways loads of times and its always the same result! I tried reinstalling the Mail app and the prefrences file but nothing! Still the same!

Any help?

you have loaded both parts of the mail app, correct? The frameworks is also listed and should be installed first.

How did you install? Direct or from the Installer?

Yep, the framework, the prefrance file, the app, all there, I installed manually using SSH.

Well, someone else will have to chime in here. I do very little SSHing since 1.1.1. Now that all the iPone apps can be installed from the Installer. Sorry.
