Mail won't play sound for new emails

I've set new mail sound to glass, volume's up, everything's on - why won't it make a noise when I get an email?!!

It seems to be a bug, many people have it. I sometimes get a sound, but most often not. Sometimes it's a couple of minutes late.

Duff-Man says....a couple of suggestions for you....

1) read the forum rules again, specifically the part about "bumping" threads - especially after just 35 minutes.
