Mail won't synchronize all my hotmail emails

Hey,

So i decided i want to use Mail because i hate the hotmail web interface. But when i set up my account, it only synchronizes around 12000 emails (from 2005 to 2007). So i deleted all those old emails and tried to synchronize again, but Mail won't load newer emails. How is this possible? All my friends with a mac are using Mail and it works very good with hotmail. Sending emails through Mail does work.

I'm on 10.7.2 btw.
