Hello,

I've been using Mail on my iBook G4 with Leopard (10.5.8) for a few months now. It has been running well till a couple days ago. I added a couple more email accounts (AOL) for a total 6 accounts, varying from AOL, Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo. I'm experiencing the pinwheel freeze and force qutiing the application. It occurs in all instances, like opening the app, receiveing and sending emails.

Any advice?

How much free space on your drive? Use Disk Utility to find available space.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications/Utilities. In the bottom of the window click on Memory. Do you see paging in/out?

Thanks for the advice.

Well, everything check out good.

I ended up deleting the AOL email accounts in mail and it resolved it. I've been experiencing problems with AOL of late.
