OK is it possible to syn my yahoo email account (or gmail if i must) up to my apple mail application. It would be cool if i could use all the cool features of mail without having to sign up to an apple email.

any thoughts?

For Gmail, go to the "help" tab in the upper right corner and scroll down to "POP ACCESS"

It should direct you from there.

I don't have a Yahoo account, but it is probably similar if they'll let you
