I'm using IMAP and GMAIL and not too happy about it after the upgrade.

I think the problem is because when you "delete" on GMAIL, you're really "archiving"

So anyways... In mailbox behavior in settings I have it set to

"Deleted Mailbox" >

On my iPhone - Trash
On the server - All Mail

I would think this would mean that on the server Gmail would archive my message for me. However, it's still placing it on the trash in Gmail.

Any ideas? Thanks

Well, kinda.

But in that message they say, "...simply move the message to your [Gmail]/All Mail folder"

Whereas I'd like to have my "Trash" button configured to do this instead of me having to "move" the email.

When I'm dealing with hundreds of emails, it's just too time consuming to click on the folder and move it rather than just delete it.
