When I open mail on my 3GS it shows Downloading 1 of 1 on the bottom of the screen continuously. The little wheel next to my wifi signal at the top continues to spin. I think it's sucking my battery dry. It's been doing this for a week and I have received hundreds of e-mails and it continues.
Any Thoughts??

Thanks!!!!

It could be a corrupt mail or attachment. If you are using the Apple Mail app try logging directly into your mail provider on Safari to see if there is a message that is not coming thru. If so you can read or delete it there and your iPhone will not keep trying to download it and behave normally.
