Hello,

Something must have changed, but no idea what. Running Ventura.

Using the native Mail App that came with my iMac desktop.

Seems that the mailbox "Today" has most everything received, but the "Inbox" does not.

Also, it seems, some eMails never seem to make it to either.

Might someone please explain for me the differences in these two mailboxes, and why this
might be ?

Thanks,
Bob

Inbox is "real' mailbox, content depends on what mail provider you have. Most providers will filter and sort mail for you into inbox, spam, and few other categories. Inbox will contain only mail which has not been assigned to other categories.
Today is smart mailbox (basically saved search) for mail delivered today. Independent which mailbox it is in (Inbox, spam,...), if it was delivered today, you will see it.
Looks to me that your mail provider (gmail?, Exchange?,...) does some sorting and your mails are therefroe in various mailboxes, depending on their decision. You may need to customize that. Alternatively, you have some Rules setup in Mail.app and those may be filtering your mails.
Either way, go to Mail.app settings, and check the Accounts "Mailbox behavior" and in Rules, check "Inbox rules". Hopefully you can customize it well enough.
