Someone I mail to running Vista on a non-Mac has trouble opening my PNG files. I'm not going to sort out her machine but I want to make sure there's nothing wrong I'm doing my end.

If you attach a file to mail there's the option to send it Windows-friendly. But I usually just drag the file on the mail icon and so I don't get that option. Also, I hide all my file extensions. So is this person then receiving my files without an extension and that's why the 21st century cutting edge piece of software can't open it?
