My wife uses Apple Mail with multiple POP accounts and likewise multiple SMTP accounts for sending. It's been working fine for the most part but all of a sudden she's unable to send anything (receving mail still works fine however). As far as I remember we haven't messed with any upgrades or change of settings.

Regardless of which SMTP server we're using it gives the same kind of error message. It's definitely not a problem with the servers because I use the same ones on my Mac and they all work fine (but I use Thunderbird for email). What happens is that after pressing the "Send" button a couple of seconds go by until an error message pops up and tells me that the server is responding:

<EMAIL@ADDRESS.COM> we do not relay from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

(where "EMAIL@ADDRESS.COM" is the recipient's email address and "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" is my wife's IP address).

I've also tried deleting the SMTP servers in Mail's settings, then added one of the SMTP server's again, only to get the exact same result. Can some of the settings somewhere in Mail have gotten corrupted (I see there's a lot of files in ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/ -are there files I can delete there so they get rebuilt or something?
I see from other threads here that others have been having problems with Mail as well, but so far I haven't been able to find anything specifically related to the above issues, and the suggestions related to similar problems haven't solved these problems.

This is with Mail 7.3 within OSX 10.9.5.
