I've got a unique problem that so far, Apple Vision is the only one that doesn't allow me to do this. Basically, my main iCloud account is under one Apple ID that I had to retain from the mid-2000's for my home business, but I've been using my personal Apple ID for all purchases of movies, calendars, notes etc.

On all over apple devices, you can switch your App Store ID and AppleTV id, effectively having two different accounts. Currently, the visions pro doesn't allow this as far as I can tell. Can anyone confirm? Anyone else in the same boat as I?

I signed out of of the App Store Store and signed back in with the other ID. I have been hoping Apple would allow a way to merge them, I had an App ID for music that predated the iCloud, and now like you I ended up with two.

I have the same set up, in settings under iCloud you need to login into the separate account under Media & Purchases. I do have it setup under different accounts now and it was a bit challenging, I believe you have to logout of there first.

So in settings, you have a main iCloud account but somehow logged out of the App Store itself individually? Where do you do that?

Open up the App Store on the Vision Pro. Up right icon is your account. Click and open . Droll all the way down, Sign Out. Then sign in again with your desired ID

^^ this.

I tried doing it in settings and it didn’t work, but singing out of the App Store and singing in with the other applied worked. You have to look at the link to the Apple ID in your profile in the App Store to bring up the option to unlink it.

Think this is a bug, It also took me forever to figure out how to chang the apple ID for face time. But this dual Apple ID stuff is an issue all over the Apple ecosystem

Finally got it all sorted. Thank you all for your help! It felt like it didn’t like me doing this, with various popups asking if I wasn’t this screenname to log out and log in, and then asking me to reenter the password of the other screen and when I popped back into settings etc. It’s def treating me like I’m using one of these screen names nefariously even though I’m not.

But it’s up and running! Got all my data and messages and photos and music all back :)

This thing is single handedly the most impressive piece of tech I’ve ever experienced

Is it also possible to use a different account for apple tv+?
Yes, I believe it's under "media and purchases" setting. I don't have my headset on atm but as long as the correct account is under that, all my subscriptions popped up.

I had to go into media and purchases - sign out with my personal Apple ID and then sign in with the one I use for all purchases, apps, music etc... and we do a family share. That fixed it right away for me. Thank goodness! I am LOVING my AVP ... it really is revolutionary and magical!!

Also did it in media and purchases. Had some confusing dialog saying “<icloud_account> isn’t me in order to first sign out of using that account for media and purchases. Im like… no, that IS me. But its not the account I use for media and purchases!
