Maintaining chronological order in exporting photos

I've created an album in iPhoto with photos from 3 different sources. Adjusted the dates and times to have all in chronological order. Now to export them, via thumb drive, Dropbox, Google drive...the order reverts back to jpeg numbers and in groups in which they were originally imported. The chronological order doesn't hold. Does anyone know of a solution so that I can retain the chronological order in exportation?
