Recently I have been having some issues with my MBP's battery (5 blinks on sleep light during start up). After some research and a trip to the genus bar, I was told to replace the battery they I just had apple factory replace just over a year a go with 125 cycles. I did so, it worked fine for about a week and boom it says the battery is dead. From what apple told me it is because the logic board does not see the battery and the only way to fix it is to buy a new one. Been there done that. Now the reason I am writing this out in the forum is because just over a month ago (the exact day I waked into the apple store) Apple declares the MBP that I own as vintage. Apple cannot service my macbook pro anymore and the only advice they had was either pay $120 for a "new" battery for a 6 year old mac or replace the battery yourself. I did just that, but now obviously I am having the same issue yet again. In doing some research about this issue I read that the best thing to do is to reset the SMC, been there done that....nothing. Anyone have any ideas?
