Now that was a bit too scary for my good taste. If the truck had just swerved right two yards it would have ended up the front lawn of MY house and rammed head-on into the trees on the west end of our property.

An update--the insurance claims adjuster came out and they now estimate the repair cost at US$50,000. That's because the crash caused quite a bit of structural damage to the house.

A friend of mine (who I haven't talked to in years ) lives on a busy road that lots of people speed on (there's a slight downhill, so it's inadvertent most of the time). They have some large rocks (nearly boulders) a few feet back from the curb to make sure no one gets to their house (which is set back pretty far). The rocks have been pushed nearly 50 feet on a few occasions.
