Major Crash-Apple Intel CPU Power Management

Just shut down Macbook pro, running 10.5.6, and when I try to reboot I get grey screen along with the kernel panic screen and the following:

panic(cpu 0caller 0x00BA3E43):..."No HPET's available...CPU(s) configured incorrectly\n"@/Sourceache/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement?AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement-59.0.1/pmThread.c:149

Along with some other stuff, cant boot into operating system anymore, anyone knopw what this is?

Perhaps Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC). Be careful to select the proper procedure for your particular computer.
