Not sure if this is news but thought I would let you know, but this needs escalated to Senior Apple people!

I think there is a major issue with iOS/iPadOS 18.6.2 and MacOS 15.6.1. Looks like It breaks iMessage. I had a notification yesterday morning stating on all my devices iMessage and FaceTime was disabled. I tried to re activate but nothing was working. Tried all the troubleshooting on Apple Support. In the end I contacted Apple Support, they said my iMessage and FaceTime was blocked by Apple looks like they do this as they thought my number was Spam. I had to fill out a form to explain that my mobile/cell number was not Spam and they would look into it, it was unblocked that evening. I thought great will be working again, but no. The main feature they state is that my number will be synced to all devices that uses iMessage. It now only shows on my iPhone, it’s not syncing to other devices. Also the iMessage app on the Mac restarts and asks me to sign in again. I have been with senior Apple support for a few hours and even they could not fix it, they escalated it to engineers. I have looked at apple support community and others are having the same issue since latest iOS/iPadOS and MacOS. Personally I think there is a bug in the software that sends a message to servers regarding the spam and brakes iMessage.

All the latest issues in the above discussions are what I have been through. A lot of people are not happy.

YES!! This whole problem started on September 4 for no apparent reason. First I noticed it on my iPad. I noticed that the messages were not being synced with my iPhone. I noticed that my phone number was deleted from the iPad's "You can receive iMessages to and reply from" list. Then I noticed that the problem spread to all my Macs and other Apple devices. On all my Apple devices (except my iPhone) my phone number is no longer visible.

I spent hours on the phone talking to an Apple service person, giving him access to share the screen of my iPhone and my Macbook. After spending about two hours, nothing worked and the problem could not be solved.

The phone number gets activated on the phone to use for iMessage and FaceTime however the number is not being propagated to any of my other Apple devices. Just to be on the safe side I even got in touch with my Cell Provider to make sure that my phone was capable of sending international SMS to Apple severs to activate the number.

I went to my iCloud account to check to see that my phone number was there under my Apple account and it was capable of sending and receiving messages. It is visible there and everything looks normal.

Oh, then a friend of mine also started to experience the same problem with his iMessage and FaceTime. Then in a day or two, my wife's iPad exhibited the same problem and her phone number also disappeared from her iPad's iMessage.

At this stage I am confident that there is a serious problem with Apple's iMessage and FaceTime service even though the server status is all green and apparently according to Apple there is no problem.

I hope people at Apple are aware of this problem and are working at it.

As it is, I stopped using iMessage completely, notified my friends that they can reach me using WhatsApp.

I guess "It just works" is a thing of the past. It's been more than a week so far and it just doesn't work.
