OK, heres my problem. I have a 1st Gen. iPod Touch running on 2.2.1. The problem is that whenever I put the iPod on HOLD, when i try to press the center button to turn it back on, it doesn't turn on. It ALWAYS happens. The only way I can put it on hold and it wont turn off is if music is playing. I put it in DFU Mode and ive Restored it a bunch of times. I tried the "hold + home button" a bunch of times too. I cant send the iPod out because my warranty obviously ran out. Has this happened to anyone? And if so, how do i fix it? You think its the battery? Help me. Please and thank you.

EDIT: Also, When it turns of and i try to turn it back on, the Apple Logo appears, but then it goes black, and sometimes the screen turns white...
