After the update in Excel 2008, whenever I select a number of rows on the left hand side and right click for the drop down menu (like in order to insert or delete rows) the menu takes about 8 full seconds to load up!! This is absurd and and I never had this problem before I did the update! Any way to fix this?

Anyone else at least have the same issue? This HAS to be fixed as I use Excel every day at work! Is there any way to go back to 12.1.0!?!?

I just tried what you said and mine reacted immediately. No waiting.

How big are these tables? Are there any associated charts?

No it even does it on a blank spreadsheet as long as I am selecting about 5 rows at a time. Veryyyyyyyyy frustrating!!

Doesn't happen to me. What are your machine's specs?

Oh, and might try rebuilding the office database for kicks (probably won't help). You can find the database utility in the office folder of your microsoft 2008 folder.

I'm assuming you haven't installed anything that installed contextual menu items. (look in the Contextual Menu Items folder in your library folder).
