Major problem with Apple Dock & viewing on TV

Guys

Can someone please help me!

I have owned my Touch for a month or so and I love it!

I have just purchased the Apple Universal Dock & Component cable set.

I can play my Music fine and watch PodCasts it appears without an issue.

However every movie I have displayed on the TV seems to randomly stop, TV screen goes blank and the Touch goes back in to the unlock screen? I then have to get up and go back in to movies, display on TV yes just to start up again.

I have turned the screen lock on to Never as I feared this may be the culprit. No joy.

There does not seem to be any standard time between when it stops either. Sometimes 1 min sometimes 10 mins.

I am really confused!

I think that may be the next step!

I just don't get it though. I am not so sure if it is an Ipod fault or a resolution problem or such like?

Ugh! I feel your pain. I had a dock go bad a while back. The audio level was really low.

It might help you to try and track down the problem. Does the touch freeze up only with video out? That is, if you're just holding it and watching it on the iPod's screen does it do the same?

Also try hooking the cable directly to the touch, not through the dock. See if it does the same.

This'll help you track down whether it's a problem with the touch, the cable or the dock.
