Major problems with Garageband after install

I just installed Leopard and now Garageband is acting really buggy. Any time I import a new piece of audio, it jumbles all of the layers that are already in the timeline. then, if I try and move something it reverts back to how it was. It freezes up completely if I tamper too much with it. here are some screen grabs of what I've been experiencing. PS I'm using Garageband 3.
