Hope somebody can help, if it's inappropriate, I apologize.
I'm running OS 10.3, latest version, on an iMac 800 mHz. I just ran in the current set of Software Update updaters - including Quicktime, iTunes 5, a security update. Now, once I tried to restart, I first got an error message from a quicktime installer, and every subsequent attempt simply doesn't go - I get to my desktop wallpaper, but without anything more valuable - the Dock shows up, but nothing will load - including the finder. Once, I got my users lists and clock up in the right corner, but nothing more.
I've tried loading in safe mode - it simply stays at the grey apple screen and circles indefinitely (I've gone about 20 minutes). Single-User mode just works the same without it.
If anyone's had this happen, I'd greatly appreciate the help!
