Major upgrade issues! HELP!! 3G

ok so.... last night I downloaded the upgrade, it installed, and this morning i wake up to the USB to itunes picture and when I connect.. SIM not supported!

I tried recovery mode and nothing, same problems

It looks like iOS4 is on the phone b/c when I slide the emergency slide over it has the bubble background that was in the keynote.

Update:
It was suggested that I try to jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3

which i did... and this lets me open up the phone and see apps ect. but then when I try to actually make a call... nothing

cant update the cydia issue due to no internet connections working

any ideas?

Sounds like your phone isn't activated. You should restore it in iTunes.

restore in itunes the apple way? or some other way? first time i am jbing a phone

I had the same issue... Go to settings and reset your "network" settings... Worked for me.
