Hello folks, hopefully someone with experience of Mac Pro hardware may be able to help me here.
I've got a Mac Pro (3.7 Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5) which was working fine until recently, but has developed a major wifi problem. My Powerbook sat next to it can see 17 different wifi signals. The Mac Pro can only see 3. It doesn't connect most of the time, refuses passwords, or doesn't assign a static IP. When it does work, it's slooooowww...
I've tried most suggestions I can find online. I've also tried a D-Link DWA-131 USB wifi dongle, but this only sees the same 3 wifi signals.
As a radical step I've tried a fresh installation of Yosemite to step back a little, but it's having the same problem. I don't see it as a router problem as I'd surely see other networks.
Any advice gratefully received!
