I have sent 4 emails so far to iTunes to report a problem with account. With each one I received an email confirming they received my email and telling me a representative will contact me in 24 hrs. It has now been 72 hours and I still have not received a response nor has the problem been corrected.
I have an iPod touch and originally entered a MasterCard on file for my payment source, however, 6 months ago I cancelled my credit and have been using prepaid gift cards. I have had no problems until acouple of days ago. I attempted to redeem a $15 gift card, received the confirmation message saying thank you your card was successfully entered, account balance $15. I attempted to purchase a couple apps but when I did I received a message saying my credit info needed to be updated. Even though my account says $15 right beside my name. Iwent in to manage account to verify information. $15 is very visibly beside my name. I have tried a couple times to delete the cancelled credit card from my account but was unsuccessful in doing so. In the area where you enter credit card information there is no spot anywhere on that page that says NONE as a choi e for credit card. Only visa, mc, and Amex. That's it. No other options. I searched Internet for information on what problem could possibly be including turning off the one click option. Nothing worked. I sent a few emails to iTunes support, apple store, account info etc etc. Followed all recommendations. STILL, no one has contacted me back and still no one has repaired the problem. Not only am I not able to use my $15 gift card I purchased but I have also been waiting for 3 days for some of my already purchased apps that said please update. I hit the update button on those apps and now I am not able to use those apps either because they have been "updating" for 3 days. I can't even download FREE apps. I attempted to download a free app and receive the same stupid message telling me to update my credit information. I have tried all recommendations that the iTunes sites have told me to do ( including trying to make the changes on computer directly instead of my iPod) what do I do?
