I have a very small space in my basement that has a desk and a couch that lets you either work on the computer or watch movies behind the desk... I can only fit a 32" to 27" Media Hub there so I am very limited to what I can setup. I want to be able to work at my computer and also watch TV. I will mostly be using an Apple TV so the internal SmartTVOS will only be used to update the TV.

I have looked at the Samsung m8 and the LG SmartMonitor 27" and 32", the only thing I am getting from these is a REMOTE. I am paying for OLD Monitor TECH just to get a remote?

Then TV's.. There are no good 32" TVs or at least the brands that I know would be able to double as a computer screen, the minimum size of the good lines is 42"

So that leaves me with buying the Samsung m8 or the LG SmartMonitor, but I would rather buy a better monitor tech with that money, like LG Ultrafine or Asus Prorate.

Is there a line of LG or Asus ProArt that could connect to a universal remote so I could switch inputs?
If I was able to switch inputs on an LG or Asus I could get a better monitor than the SmartMonitors.

Are the Samsung m8 and LG SmartMonitor that bad of tech?

Thanks.
