Hey All,

My work has issued me a Dell Precision Workstation laptop. The thing is a beast and is a complete PIA to carry around with me.

Is there anyway to take my HDD or operating system from the Dell and be abel to access it start the windows on that HDD.

All my engineering suite is included on that system, and they will not issue me a license file to my personal PC.

If I migrate that PC using VMware Fusion will it erase my HDD?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

**Bump** Any Suggestions?

You can migrate it in to a virtual machine, like VMware Fusion. It won't erase your hard drive.

I've done that but make sure your IT allows it.

Migrating now. 1 hour and 3 mins, left to completion. Fingers crossed.
