Hey guys.

I wanted to know if there is a way to make it so the Apple Remote's forward and back buttons ONLY skip when used with VLC Player (and Quicktime too if possible).

Here's the situation: I want to use the Apple Remote when watching a video, and the remote skips when the buttons are clicked. Right now I have to hold down the button to skip, but if I hold it down too long it skips too many times, at 10 secs each. If I don't hold it down long enough, it goes all the way to the beginning of the video. I only want it to go back 3 secs when I click the button (just long enough to hear or see something I just missed in the video).

I tried to go to HotKeys in preferences, but didn't see any options to change the remote's functions.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
