there is no dd command in lion so i'm having trouble making a bootable usb drive for windows 7, bootcamp doesn't seem to be doing what i want either..

is there any other soutions or does anyone have any ideas? i'm not installing windows on my macbook

You can create a bootable Windows 7 USB drive via Boot Camp Assistant if you have a Windows 7 disk image (.iso) - this is only supported by certain Mac models natively, but you can enable support on any machine by editing a plist file. Just do a search on the forums to find out how to do this.
