Make El Capitan look like Mountain Lion?

Just broke down and upgraded to El Capitan and absolutely hate the way it looks!

Is there a way to make it look like what I had in Mountain Lion.

Not sure how to describer what I had, but all of the light colors in El Capitan are very hard for me to read.

Prefer a more "classic" look.

Have you tried making changes in System Preferences? You can change the menu and dock to "dark" mode from the General tab, and then go to the Accessibility tab and change the contrast.
