I'm having a really silly newbie problem I'm hoping someone can help me with.
I've recently bought a Mac Mini running Lion, although I continue to switch between it and a Win7 PC, so I can't really just disregard all my Win shortcuts completely as I still need to change between computers fairly often.
I'm using a UK Logitech Windows bluetooth keyboard and have installed KeyRemap in order to make the physical keyboard layout (@ and " etc) match the software map in the machine, and everything is going great except for one thing-- the f5 key.
No matter what I do, I CANNOT seem to be able to un-assign this from opening Mail. I have gone into System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts and tried to add this as a custom shortcut for Firefox, but as soon as I press the f5 key in the reassign area, Mail launches. I've tried manually typing in "F5", but of course, that doesn't work either. There doesn't seem to be anything in KeyRemap's settings that would allow for this to be changed.
I'd really love to know if anyone has an alternative way of re-assigning this key to page reload, or at the very least just stop it from opening Mail, which is a program I don't even use! It's very jarring to have a new program open in the other screen when all I want is to refresh a website. I'd be very grateful if anyone could assist.
