Hi, is it possible to make an Ipad a second screen connected to the macbook retina ? Like playing movies on the ipad that is being played through the macbook retina , while being able to work on something else on the macbook retina .

There are a plethora of apps which do this, but it also depends on what you want to do.

Air-video lets you stream movies from your PC to your IOS or Android device.

Air-display lets you use your iPad as a 2nd screen, but you need a router for this, and it's fairly laggy, and really useful only for viewing documents (and even then, I find it easier to just open the document separately through dropbox on my iPad).

What do you intend to use your 2nd screen for?

I want to use it to play movies . while I'm doing something else on the macbook retina screen . I don't mind having it connected through the charger wire if it's less laggy than router . is there an app that does that ?
