I am looking for a way to stop iPhoto from Opening when i sync my ipad. it is not a big deal but my wife has so many photo's in iphoto that it takes a long time to open and too close.

It is opening because of the few background photo's i have downloaded on my ipad, i guess iphoto is seeing them and assuming i want to import them. I tried going ahead and importing them just to see if the next time around it would somehow remember that they had been imported, but no joy.

There is a way, but forget the steps. Too lazy to google for you, but instructions are out there. Just do a quick search.

With your iPad plugged in, open Image capture from the Applications folder.
Click on your iPad under devices and then select No Application from the dropdown on the bottom left (under Connecting this iPad opens)

Hope this helps
