Hey everyone,

I've tried to install makeitmine from Cydia the last couple days and it installs fine but when I go and try to change the carrier name it doesn't work, doesn't matter how many times I try to respring, reboot it won't work.

Is anyone having luck with this after 4.2.1 GP JB?? I'm using an iPhone 4.

I know I can install fakecarrier but I've heard that because it uses mobile substrate it uses a lot of memory and battery power...can any either confirm this or bust it as a myth??

Thanks.

I installed FakeOperator. It works and I haven't noticed any impact on battery life thus far.

MakeItMine does not work with 4.2.1 I am using Fake Operator instead which does not seem to drain the battery any faster than without it. Never tried Fake Carrier.

Check out the list we have started on 4.2.1 compatibility with Cydia Apps:

Sweet thanks for the great responses guys! I'll check out the list....very useful!!

The only reason why I wanted makeitmine is it doesn't use any mobile substrate

yes i want makeitmine for this reason

Well I didn't bother to go with FakeCarrier because I have enough MS processes running in the background.

I read on the 4.2.1 compatibility list that makeitmine doesn't work with this firmware...so it isn't a problem with cydia or any repository...unfortunately

If anyone hears otherwise please report back.
