hello,
please help if you can..

i'm using iweb for some website stuff.

how do i make my site load faster and not drop images, also some of the quicktime takes awhile too load.

would having my own server for iweb make it faster and cure my problems?

thanks, any advice would be great.

Use graphic imaging programs to reduce the file size of images. Photoshop has a save for web option. Quicktime videos can be reduced in a similar manner. Moving to your own server may make an improvement, but depends on the server completely. It'll need good upload speeds, so home server doesn't generally work out well. iWeb doesn't exactly create optimized code either so using a better app could help some.

thanks, thats great info.

if i use those programs to reduce file sizes, does the image quality look poor?

It can, you'll need to save at different quality settings to see what is acceptable to you.
