Okay, well I've seen alot of those ads (often spam), about making money online (haven't we all)?

I am going to have to find some way to make money soon, in order to save up for university next year. Does anyone actually know a legitimate site which offers money for, say, online surveys or something similar?
Anyone have any experience with online money making? Please share your thoughts/experiences.

Cheers :)

The money you make from those things is so minuscule, that is, if you actually get the money you earned. You're better off going out and getting a job

Unless you are going to get naked on a webcam or run a real proper business via eBay I don't think there is much hope...

So do you guys have experience with these things?

I understand that the pay might be miniscule...but its better than nothing.

I dont want to get naked. :p

All I can say is stay away from affiliate marketing.

These shysters all over the Net know that the easiest, quickest way to make money is to sell to the gullible hordes information on how to get rich easy and quick.

So, I guess what you want to do is write a tome on how to make money quick and easy, and sell it for $50 to whoever will pay.

A lot of the survey type schemes I've seen have a minimum payout. Say $50. You get, for example, $0.50 for a survey and they let you take 2-3 a week. So you have to do 100 surveys to get paid at all and that means doing this for over 30 weeks before you see any cash.

I think most people give up before pay out...

What about making a micro site and selling Google ads?

A buddy of mine has a site with adsense on it and gets a decent amount of traffic and makes a hundred bucks every few months or so.

Seriously, go out and get a real job. That's the easiest way to make money. If anything you find online sounds too good to be true, it probably is

Here's a little theory I came up with.

There IS such a thing as a get rich quick scheme. However, they never work twice in a row. Thus, if anyone ever tries to tell you a quick way to make money, it's probably not going to work because it doesn't work twice.

Thus, none of us can give you a good way to make money online, because if we had one WE'D be using it. However, if you can come up with an idea nobody else has, you might have a shot.

I use two survey sites:

Ispos i-say and TNS interactive Canada - These are both for Canadian citizens but they do have US and international sister sites.

While I have never gotten money from doing the online survey I have gotten in mail larger surveys and in person ones where they paid $50-150 for 1-2 hours of my time.
I am doing another survey this monday evening - 2 hours = $175 listening to a soon to be advertising campain - fun. truly is

I usually get e-certificates and gift cards to places such as amazon, ebay, costco, aldo etc. which actually works for me.

Overall doing them on a as bored basis I 'make' about $100-200 per month
plus product samples.
