Make ~/Music point to AnotherHD/Path/To/Music?

Hello,

I have just put an SSD drive in my Mac but obviously my music collection is too large to fit on it.

I have another hard drive in the system and I would like ~/Music to point to that folder on the other HD and import my library in iTunes. The directory on the other HD is my former iTunes folder so it's got all iTunes needs (and my iPhone backups).

I am not looking for the “Move my iTunes Media Folder” in-app solution, I would like something system wide as I plan to do the same for ~/Movies.

Any clues?

Just drag it to the new HD.

Then in preferences goto the 'Advanced" tab and hit change, then select it in the new spot.

Well you can put your entire Users folder onto another HD, and then leave your SSD for OS and Apps. That's what I did. Is that more what you're looking for?
