I'm trying to figure out how to streamline my home cinema set up. I've currently got a Mac Pro hooked up to my normal monitor and the second display is a projector, it is also connected to the surround sound amp through the digital out on the Mac.
The problem is that I have to go through so many steps when I want to watch a film on my Mac. I have to go to displays, drag the menu bar over to the projector remote, then I have to change the sound output to the digital audio from ordinary speakers, then I have to activate Front Row. Both displays are different resolution so I cannot simply mirror them.
It just seems like so many steps and very inelegant for my Mac. Has anyone come across any programs that will automatically do all of those actions in one click?
I also have to run Front Row through Remote Buddy, for some reason it only seems to work through that when I do command+escape.
Looking forward to reading your suggestions!
