Dear Members
I have just got my new macbook.

Now i have also installed Vista on it from bootcamp.

But now i need a ekstra 25 gb drev for my private stuff. I wanna make a partition from the hdd. But that drev i wanna make should be accesseble from both Mac & Windows.

How can i make that partition???

when i go in the disk thing, there is a partition botton, when i click that, what to do there???

some steps will be nice, and are u sure that fat32 will work in both windows and mac??

Can i also make NTFS?? will it work on both?

FAT32 will work in both Mac OS X and Windows....

NTFS works in Windows but is read-only in Mac OS X (i.e. can't write anything to the drive)

alright, thx for the info.

But how do i do it?? can someone give me some steps on how to do it??

I am new to mac...

Here is what I would do. Use super duper or any cloning software you like. Clone your disk. Then, change your partitions using disk utility. Make sure you your first partition has plenty of room for your operating system. Then, clone it back. Before doing your partition, make sure you boot into the external drive to insure the clone was successful. If you don't have much stuff installed, you can just pull off what you need using a usb stick or something else, use your install disk and repartition your drive, then do a clean install. If you clone, you won't have to redo all the updates. Good luck.

Just to add, after booting into your external drive (if you do it this way), use disk utility while in there to redo your partition.
