Make Phonebook Widget Work Outside OF USA

Has anyone figured this out? Wouldn't it be easy for an java literate individual to switch it from using da+(?) to google local?

If anyone has or would make this and is willing to share i would be very grateful.

Not sure anyone's changed the 'real' widget but there are lots of phonebook widgets for other countries out there on Apple's widget download page.
