before there was nearly a 1 second delay to display a google search set on 100 per page and now its INSTANT

Very welcome. It's quite a difference when you have a fast connection. Weird that this isn't enabled from the start.
It does seems to have made it a bit faster, I'll switch back to Safari for a while and see how it goes, still not sure if it's as quick as Firefox PR1.0 for me though.
