the thing is that I have a small crack on the top left part of my itouch
My question is since a majority of the crack is on the top black section of the iPod, what are my options for reducing the visibility of the crack (spray paint, toothpaste, etc?) also, are there any chances of me being able to return this at an apple store since this firstly began from a small dent/chip thats been on the black part of the ipod since i bought it last october. i didnt mind dealing with the chip since it was on the black part, but now its gotten even bigger and its partially on the screen

Nothing you can really do... Get a screen protector, it might help and will also prevent further damages!

Bring it in to a jeweler and ask what they can do. There are different polishes that could make it good as new.

that link i posted seems o indicate that i can replace my screen for free (i have a 2g touch)

are there any kinda stuff that most people have laying around the house that I coud probably try to use?

There is a polish specifically made for this sort of problem that many people have reported works wonders. Its called Displex and is made in Germany. I had success with finding it on ebay.
