Make "Show Calendar List" persistent, how?

Previously iCal has a nice sidebar of calendars created, but now the only way to get to them is to click on "Show Calendar List" which then goes away the moment you switch focus back to editing your Events.:mad:

Does anyone know how to make the calendar list persist or stay on as a sidebar like the old iCal used to? :confused:
