So i guess Gizmodo (or one of the contributors) converted his black iPhone to white. According to the parts website the back cover costs 800rmb. That's ridiculous... over $100usd.

i'd probably give it a few more weeks until all the parts are actually attached to the plates, especially having the camera not covered, touching the lens can damage it :-/

but I agree the black front + white back + black bumper = WIN

I wonder how long it will be before ColorWare and companies like it start releasing multi-colored backs, since they're so easy to replace. Or even plastic ones, for that matter.

The rear glass is 800rmb which equals approx $120usd.

The front glass is 385rmb which is approx $55usd.

Plus the home button which is 85rmb which is approx $12usd.

Seems like the prices are grossly inflated due to the white iPhone still awaiting release.

steps for success:

1. buy black iPhone 4
2. buy white back piece, front piece and home button
3. sell on eBay claiming it's a prototype (since it says XXGB and other info is all XXXXX'd out)
