Hi, I need help backing up my disk, then restoring it, to create more contiguous free space to partition my disk using Boot Camp Assistant.
I Googled, and apparently I can backup using Time Machine, then boot up from the OS X disc, then restoring the T.M. image. Alternatively, I can do what the popup (whilst in Boot Camp Assistant) suggests - back up the disk, use Disk Utility to format, then restore the data.
So which method should I use? I don't have T.M. set up on my MBP. And apparently you cannot choose to backup on the same drive. So should I use disk utility to backup? If so, how so?
