I bought a used eMac (running OSX), but it came as is without any backup discs, neither for OSX nor the apps available. Still a bit new to the Mac world, so I would appreciate any recommendations on software with which I can make a complete backup of the system onto DVDs (like with Acronis TrueImage or Norton Ghost on PCs). Yes, I know it would be several DVDs, but I would like to back up to something permanent and more reliable than an external drive (which itself can fail); something I can keep safely somewhere, knowing that if the HD fails and is replaced, I can restore to original purchase state (I can take care of user files with flash drives, CDs/DVDs, etc.)

I have researched popular apps like CCC, but I learnt they won't clone to optical discs.

Info much appreciated.
