I'm currently working on an XMB theme for the Touch and need some advice on how to go about making a "fake application" icon. I need to make two icons for each app, one for the main icon and another for the name. So using iBlank and Five Rows and Five Columns, I would like to have the main icon and then have the named icon next to it. What would be the best way to do this? Do I just make an extra icon and stick it in the folder with the rest and hope it shows up on the springboard?
Here is the quick layout mockup;

The icons at the top with the "A" in the box represent the icons that are part of the wallpaper. These are fake icons that always stay the same. The icons labeled with the "I" are real icons. The icons next to each "I" icon in beige are the fake icons I'm talking about. They will have clear backgrounds and will have the icons name/function in them. So it appears as just text next to the icon.
This is the effect I'm going for;
