Is it possible to create an emergency boot CD/USB without having the installer CD? OX 10.6
I ask this question out of ignorance and desperation.

See this post.... https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1321974/

I have messed up my permissions AND applied it to all enclosed items .. a BIG problem.
I now cannot start my MacBook. I am at sea and my installer CD is at home. I will be out here (South China Sea) for another two weeks.
I rely heavily on my laptop to give me contact with home and family.
At the moment I am having beg to use others computers when I can.

I know of a Macbook Pro running Lion. Is it possible to use that MacBook to build a startup CD to boot my 10.6 ?? OR if that is not possible, is there anywhere or anybody who could build me a VERY minimal boot disk with Diskaid onboard.
Is this possible ?? and how big will the smallest boot disk need to be?

I am sorry if I asked silly questions but would appreciate any help offered.
