I'm at a loss for how to pull this one off. Long story short, I'm looking for a way to keep personal files on a cross-platforming thumb drive personal without any extra software.
Preferably, I would love it if I could make either a partition, image, or folder of some sort that is encrypted and password protected and doesn't require any software to read/write it or enter the password on XP and OSX. I could live with just password protection though.
So far, I've ruled out iso even though it's cross-platform since it's read only. I've also yet to figure out how to do the above to a partition on my thumb drive. The only thing I've figured would work so far is a .dmg, but I don't believe XP can read/write them without special software and I don't want that. Any help is greatly appreciated since I've been trying to figure this out by myself for like two days now... >.<
