I'd like to backup my OS X boot drive to a restore disk image, but I'd like to be able to tell the procedure to skip over certain folders and files, to reduce the disk image size, and also because a lot of what is on my boot drive is temporary stuff. (I'd rather not have to move those files somewhere else and back.) Is there a selective way to accomplish this? Disk Utility and Carbon Copy Cloner don't seem to have these options.
