Hello,

Is it possible make an already created iCloud email alias to be the default Apple ID?

Hello,

Is it possible make an already created iCloud email alias to be the default Apple ID?

I’m not sure this would work, you would have to investigate. But what about removing the alias so it frees it up and then just changing your Apple ID to that?

Since when?

I accidentally clicked on your username. Although it will likely be different by the time you read this. Spooky.

I want this too, to be able to promote an Alias address to being the primary one for use with an AppleID.

Its not possible, but suggest you put in a development suggestion, hopefully if they get enough requests...

On iCloud.com's Mail app you can.

this is accurate.
cant do it in the Mail app on a mac or an iDevice but you can on icloud.com. you can create/delete/add mail aliases up to 3 additional ones over and above the actual account ID email, and mac.com, and me.com

im not sure if you can create new ones with mac and me endings, but you can most definitely create new aliases with an iCloud.com ending.

i was also able to change the iCloud main account ID from a @mac.com one to an @icloud.com

the bad news is that you can not delete either the mac or me endings. you can simply choose to ignore or turn off their usage.

since im starting to get ill over recalling iTools, iDisk and Mobile Me i will stop now.
